The Zephyr arrives in Calamity.    
     

Denver & Intermountain Railroad

Traffic on Denver & Intermountain experienced a surge in business so they leased two Chicago South Shore  & South Bend 80 ton steeple cabs. They are seen leaving the yard with a short freight train. The Denver & Intermountain steeple cab 1107 switches the industrial area of Victor.  Denver & Intermountain 1107 retrieves an empty boxcar from a Victor industry.
     
 A 2 car passenger train departs for Victor and the shift change at the Weart Mine.  The freight train will leave for the mine load-out after the passenger train returns.  The train passed the lead to the industrial area of Victor. The main line of the Denver & Western in in the foreground.  .A Denver & Intermountain passenger train departs the Weart mine complex on its way back to Victor and the D&I station. A car of ore waits for the next freight train to be taken to the D&W interchange.

 

 

 
 A  local freight heads for Victor to switch industries located there. The D&IM leased this motor as business has increased.  A going away shot.  
     
     
     
     

Phantom Canyon Railroad

D&RGW 347 heads west after a water stop. D&RGW 347 passes Summit in its way to Indigo. A through truss bridge frames D&RGW 347.
     
     
A passenger train passes through yard on its run. While clear skies mean no immediate need for the Rotary, the weather will change and the battle against snow in the high country will begin The drovers wait for the stock cars to be dropped off while a D&IM freight passes below.
     
   
The  standard gauge Crystal River line prepares to leave for the fabrication mill traveling  down very steep grades
